Jesus is the prince of peace. When Jesus was crucified and when His disciples went through such fear and hopelessness that they closed themselves behind doors and in those moments Jesus came and stood inside the room and said, "Peace be with you". We read in John 20:18-20, "Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that He had spoken these things to her. Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, "Peace be with you." When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord."And when the disciples of Jesus saw that Jesus is alive and in their midst, they were very happy. They forgot all their pain and sorrow. They rejoiced and their hearts were full of joy and peace. It was not the first time when Jesus gave peace and joy to someone but it is His nature to give peace in troubled hearts. Once Jesus was traveling with His disciples and there arose a great windstorm. Unaware of the storm Jesus was fast asleep. But His disciples awoke Him and said to Him, "Teacher, do You not care that we are perishing?" Then He arose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, "Peace, be still!" And the wind ceased and there was a great calm. Mar 4:39"This is the power of Jesus. His one word, and great peace filled the atmosphere, wind having ceased to blow and storms subsided. Just one word from the master brought calm in the sea. Those disciples who had lost their hope of even being alive got new hope.Today you may be in the same situation. Storms may be raging from all directions and you may have no idea what to do, where to turn? But Jesus, who is the prince of peace, can bring peace in your hearts, in your life and in your situations by just one word. When Jesus was about to leave this world He spoke to His disciples in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."He wants to fill our hearts with great peace that surpasses all understanding and He wants to fill us with peace so that our hearts may not be troubled nor do we live in fear. We can have this great peace by inviting Jesus in our lives. When Jesus comes in He brings great peace and joy. No matter what the situation you may be in, you can enjoy calmness and peace in your life, the same peace that the disciples enjoyed when they saw Jesus after His resurrection, the same peace that they experienced when the storms ceased. Invite Jesus into your hearts today and let Him take over all your situations, all your heartbreaks, all your storms and all your pains. Jesus is calling you as He said in Mat 11:28, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." Just come to Him and get His divine peace in your life.

Jesus really wants to make you feel better about yourself. He wants to elevate your self image. He wants to put an end to your negative thinking."It is completely amazing to find that such types of comments would come out of a world renowned preacher who might have read the Bible hundreds of times where Jesus had been identified by Himself as the Prince of Peace. The most read Bible verse through which millions around the world have found peace in their lives is found in Mat 11:28, "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."In this world there is no peace or joy because of sin. This world is full of pain and sorrow but when a person responds to the call of Jesus and as soon as he/she comes to Jesus, great peace and joy fills in their hearts. Psalmist writes in Psalms 16:11, "You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore."Bible talks about God that He is interested in our wellbeing. He wants to bless His children and wants to fill us with great peace and joy. Jesus said in John 15:11, "These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full." And also in John 16:24, "Until now you have asked nothing in My name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full."Jesus also said in John 10:10, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly." In this verse we read the bold statement of Jesus that He came not only to give us life but abundant life. What is abundant life? Abundant life means a life without any lack, copious, profuse, overflowing or plentiful. Abundant life does not mean that we have to be poor, beaten down, broke and in rags but abundant life represents best life.When God gave land to the Israelites, He promised blessings and prosperity in their lives. God gave them not only the best land on the earth, not only that, but He also promised to set them high above all nations as we read in Deu 26:19, "and that He will set you high above all nations which He has made, in praise, in name, and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to the LORD your God, just as He has spoken."The whole Bible talks about God's goodness and blessings on those who walk in His ways and love Him with all their heart. But John MacArthur has misunderstood and misrepresented the true Gospel of Jesus Christ by saying that, "If we follow Jesus we would not get peace, joy or any blessings but only misery, pain and death." If you have read the Bible, you can understand that Jesus came in this world and went to the cross so that we could have a blessed life full of peace and joy. Bible says in Isaiah 53:5, "But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed." When we come to Jesus we can have everything including peace, joy, healing, blessings, wealth and what not.

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month.
