In Luke 19th chapter we read about a man named Zacchaeus who was a chief tax collector, and he was rich. He sought to see who Jesus was, but could not, because of the crowd, for he was of short stature. So he ran ahead and climbed up a sycamore tree so that he could see Him as He was going to pass that way.Here is a man who is wealthy; who is privileged, a man in high position in society, but had a great desire in his heart to see Jesus. We do not know why he wanted to see Jesus. Could be that his sins were bothering him? May be he was in some kind of trouble and wanted to have a solution to get out of his problems, we just don't know but he was eager to see Jesus.He was so eager to see Jesus that nothing bothered him neither his short stature, nor his status in society as a sinner, nor the crowd surrounding Jesus. He found a way to see Jesus climbing up a sycamore tree. How true that Jesus said in Matthew 7:7-8, "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."A few weeks back I heard the remarkable testimony of Bro.Babu Pimplekar who was born and raised in a Hindu family who had never heard about Jesus, about the Bible or about Christians until his age of sixteen. When he was very young, his uncle died and it was very painful for the whole family. Then in a short period of time, his pregnant mother with child died, then his two other brothers also died. When all these things happened, his father turned to be like a mad man and could not speak, could not close his eyes for days. And many great questions arose in the heart of Bro. Babu, "If death is so painful, what is the remedy for it? How death came in this world? When people die, after death where do they go? Can we be able to meet them again?"When he was studying, he saw someone handing out Christian tracts. Though he was taught that other cast people are untouchables yet he was so curious to know what these people say that he went to them and without touching their hands, he took one tract from them. When he read, he was amazed to see that the very thoughts which were in his mind all those years were written in it from Mat 16:26 "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" Now he wanted to learn more about life, death and life after death and so he asked the person if he could tell him more about it. The hunger to learn more about God who has power over life and death took him to his house. Later on after much study of the Bible and the scriptures, he realized that Jesus is the only Savior who could forgive his sins and so he surrendered his life to Him.The same thing happened to Zacchaeus who was so hungry to see Jesus that he did not care about anybody and ran and climbed up on the tree to see Him. And when Jesus came to the place, He looked up and saw him, and said to him, "Zacchaeus, make haste and come down, for today I must stay at your house." So he made haste and came down, and received Him joyfully. Further the Bible tells us that Zacchaeus promised to give half of his goods to the poor and anything taken from anybody by false accusation will be restored fourfold to them. What a transformation came in his life when Jesus came in his life and his home. The same Jesus is ready to forgive and forget all your sins today and wants to give you a new life. Will you invite Jesus in your life and in your home, today? If yes then you will never be the same again.

She was in such pain that she could not eat anything, she could not talk and if you look at her you could see that her face showed that she was in full of pain. So I went to my computer and searched for home remedy for toothache. To my surprise, one person wrote that, he had much pain and nothing worked for him but he put baby oil in his ear and immediately pain stopped. He wrote, "whenever pain comes back, I put oil in my ear and every time it takes away the pain. I do not know how it happens but it happens." When I told my sister, she said, "nonsense, there is no use of putting oil in the ear". Well, that day she did not put oil in her ear but next day her toothache doubled and she could not bear it anymore. So she finally agreed to put oil in her ear. And to all of our amazement her pain vanishes just like that. From that day onwards this simple recipe of toothache killer became common in our home. We just don't know why and how toothache vanishes by simply putting oil in the ear, but it works every time. When we read in the Bible we read about Oil of Joy or Oil of gladness in the Bible. Oil of joy or Oil of gladness represents the Holy Spirit. Psa 45:7, "You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.Psa 45:8, "All Your garments are scented with myrrh and aloes and cassia, Out of the ivory palaces, by which they have made You glad.Isa 61:1-3, "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified."If this Oil of gladness is anointed over you, it will take away your heartbreaks, sorrows and the unbearable pain of death from you. And Jesus came for the very purpose to take away our pain and sorrow from our lives. He says, in Isaisa 61:1-3, "The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified."Those who think that a Christian life is a hard life, boring, dull and sorrowful life, I want you to read their Bible very carefully and please know that Jesus came in this world to abolish death, pain and sorrow from our lives. I want to let you know that you can have the joy and peace which God wants to give you and that this joy and peace is far superior than the joy and peace which comes from worldly things. The joy and peace which Jesus wants to give you will stay with you eternally if you walk in His ways.My friend let no one fool you convincing you that you will be having a hard, boring, dull and sorrowful life if you follow Christ. But I want to let you know the truth that Jesus went to the cruel cross to purchase this unending Joy and Peace for you and me. We have to just come to His feet and ask for the forgiveness of our sins and invite Him in our hearts. When we do that, He will gladly come in and dine with us as written in Rev 3:20, "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me."Imagine if you are to dine with a king or with a president? Will it be of a moment of sorrow? Will it not be a moment of great honor and great joy? In the same way what an honor and what a great joy to dine with the King of kings and Lord of lords.Would you open the door of your heart for this wonderful Savior who is ready to take away your pain and sorrow and is ready to anoint you with the oil of gladness?

As the Bible says in Ezekiel 22:30 "So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it." And also the Bible says in Numbers 16:48, "And he (Aaron) stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped." We have fasting prayer every second Tuesday of each month.
